It is used to treat trichomoniasis in both males and females, giardiasis, acute intestinal amebiasis (amebic dysentery), anaerobic bacterial infection, antibiotic-associated pseudomembranous colitis, and also used in helicobacter pylori eradication therapy. This medicine also used in dental, joints and vaginal infections and to reduce swelling as well
